Services and Programmes
- Drop in Centre - there is a lounge in which clients can make tea/coffee, relax and read. There are toilets and showers as well as the ability for those who are homeless to wash and dry clothes. We also have a pool table and table tennis table. A telephone is also available for local calls.
- Food Parcels - Homeless people, those in transitory accommodation and asylum seekers can receive a food parcel once every week. In addition, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables are normally always available. We are able to adjust the contents of food parcels depending upon the circumstances of the individual client and if they have access to cooking facilities.
- Sporting Programme - In conjunction with Reclink, Tim Clark (the co-ordinator of our sporting programme) arranges a wide variety of activities for clients. This has included Golf, Lawn Bowls, Pool, Swimming, Cricket and Football.
- Copayment Prescription Scheme - clients who are homeless may be eligible for payments under the Federal Continuing Medication Programme, which covers the pharmacy cost for items on the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme. This scheme administered by us is subject to strict conditions by the Federal Department of Health and Ageing and it is advised to contact the centre before referring clients to us.
- Tax Help - we are able to assist with Tax Help at the start of each new Tax Year. Bookings are necessary. To book an appointment please telephone: 03 9417 5025
