Organist & Director of Music

Jeremy's interest in church music began in his home town of Grafton, New South Wales. While at high school, he began his organ studies Grafton's Christ Church Cathedral. He went on to tertiary studies at Newcastle University Conservatorium and became Organ Scholar at Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle. Later, he moved to Melbourne and graduated from the Australia Catholic University.
Jeremy has worked in a number of Melbourne churches as organist and choir director and from 1993 spent ten years as Director of Music at St Patrick's Mentone where he chaired the pipe organ installation project. In 2003 Jeremy was appointed as the first lay Organist and Liturgical Coordinator of New Norcia Abbey, Western Australia. While at New Norcia he recorded a disc of solo organ music, "Musica pro Organo," the first recording made on the Abbey's historic 1922 Moser pipe organ.
In 2006 Jeremy returned to Melbourne and recently completed a post graduate degree at Deaken University, Master of Arts and Entertainment Management. Jeremy is currently the Performing Arts Administrator at St Catherine's School. Jeremy began his tenure at St Mark's on Advent Sunday 2011.
