7: Calvary Garden

What is it?

This is the Calvary or Memorial Garden.  It is where we come for contemplation and thinking. It is where we inter the ashes of those who want to be buried here.

The garden has been progressively enhanced over the last 5 years with a focus on improving the amenities and making the pathway round the church more safe.

If you look on the sheltered wall with a good view of the memorial garden you will see a crucifix.

Why is it important

This garden is important because it is where we bury the dead.  We inter the ashes in the earth from where they came.  It is being made into a space for contemplation.
